Unam in Driving Seat in Khomas

By Carlos Kambaekwa WINDHOEK Unam remain on course for promotion to the country's Southern Stream Division One League next season. The students are sitting pretty on the summit with a massive 46 points from a possible 60 after 20 matches in the 12-team MTC Khomas Regional League - Namibia's third tier football league. The students took a breather last weekend, but still enjoy a comfortable six-point lead with a game in hand over their closest challengers Arcadia. Second placed Arcadia defeated Young Ones by 2 goals to 1 in last weekend's action while collecting three valuable points without shedding a drop of sweat in their scheduled match against Golden Rivers, following the Donkerhoek-based outfit's failure to show up for their league assignment. In other action - Invincible's aspirations of a quick return to the Southern Stream Division One suffered a major blow after the Tauben Glen-based outfit's narrow defeat at the hands of Falcon.
