"The man who has no imagination has no wings", Mohammed Ali. "Imagination is more important than intelligence", Albert Einsten. " The power of imagination created the illusion that my vision went much further than the naked eye could see", Nelson Mandela. These are some of the greatest men in history and their thoughts on imagination. What is interesting is that the three men were highly successful in three different walks of life; sports, science, and politics. Yet they undeniably agreed that imagination is everything, I do not think it is a coincidence. I too believes imagination is everything. Imagination is where creativity starts, it is what we are left with when in vain and all we have is hope, it is what we have when we do not have a voice. It is where most children, and people that are in fear in general go when the world is unbearable. Because it is the only way how, and it is the greatest start. American actor and producer, Tyler Perry, illustrated how he was heavily beaten constantly and molested by his neighbour at five. He said all he had was imagination. It was his ticket to safe haven, and that is how he knew there can be another better world out there. What do stories of highly celebrated people like Tyler Perry teaches us? Imagination is essential for growth and development. It is through imagination we dream about our future, have visions and create goals. Through imagination we are given a glimpse of what the world is possible of looking like. So what do we do after imagination to make sure our dreams come true? Believe. To believe is to have faith and hope without seeing and without insurance. It is an act of relying on your highest intuation and just declare that it is possible, it can happen and it will happen. Believe is a strong tool in the creation and development process. I am sure Steve Jobs believe that android cell phones would be a turning point in the history of mankind, and so they did. You have to want it to happen, declare that it is going to happen and hold on to that thought. After you have imagine and believed, it is time to make things happen. Even the Bible says God does not help fools. You cannot be in bed everyday and expect a degree, a job, a business opportunity, a promotion at work to show up at your doorstep. You have to work, and I mean work really hard for your dreams. You have to go out there and do the best that you can be. You have to work beyond what others think you cannot do. Your dreams are valid but much more, they are in danger of being killed by those without imagination and vision. Keep them safe in the best cleaned garden, in your head, and your duty is to water that little single seed until it is a forest that everyone seeks shade in one day.
