Namibia has been invited to attend the 2015 Colmar Tourism Fair in France scheduled to take place from November 6 to 8, 2015. Minister of Environment and Tourism Pohamba Shifeta announced this recently at the Tourism Expo in Windhoek. Pohamba said the travel fair is an ideal platform for tourism destinations to share their experiences and tourism products. It is also a meeting place for all adventure enthusiasts, he said, adding that Namibia has been allocated an exhibition area measuring 1 000 square metres to showcase truly Namibian products. “The Colmar fair should be seen and treated as a plus to the existing promotion and marketing efforts of our mouthpiece, the Namibian Tourism Board,” he said. He appealed to public and private entities that will represent Namibia at the fair to combine efforts and make the event a resounding success, as was the case at the Adventure Travel World Summit that was held in Swakopmund in 2013. Hot air balloon excursion, as the one in the picture taken at Uis, is one of the many attractions Namibia offers to tourists visiting the country.
