NBL celebrates Independence with missions abroad

In anticipation of Namibia’s 33rd Independence Day, Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) handed over a consignment of its world-class Windhoek Lager beer to Namibian embassies, missions and consulates across the globe.

The hand over was marked with an event at the company’s head office in Windhoek on 8 March 2023.

The consignment of 350 cases of Windhoek Lager, valued at N$100 000, will go to 31 embassies and three consulates, and it was received by deputy minister of International Relations and Cooperation Jenelly Matundu at the handover event.

Speaking at the occasion, NBL managing director Marco Wenk thanked all the missions abroad for the work they carry out to ensure Namibia reaches even greater heights.

Wenk: “We are honoured to be able to once again hand over a token of our appreciation to our fellow Namibians and embassies abroad in appreciation for their valued support, hard work and dedication in representing the interests of Namibia but also preserving the rights of Namibian citizens abroad”.

“Playing an integral part in the Namibian economy through our contribution to the Gross Domestic Product and employment creation, amongst others, we remain committed to continue contributing to Namibia’s success through the production and distribution of truly world-class products,” said Wenk.

Matundu thanked NBL on behalf of the ministry, adding: “The donated consignment is meant to promote the Namibian products world-wide in order to attract Foreign Direct Investment while adding to our efforts of attracting investment to our country through economic diplomacy,” said Matundu.
