WFW promises to ‘Sustain Namibia’

Fashionistas are promised a glitzy MTC Windhoek Fashion Week that starts tomorrow until 6 November 2022, with the Sunday show being a private one.

Held under the theme ‘Sustain Namibia’ for this year, MTC Windhoek Fashion Week brings together fashion designers, local and international brands, models, show producers, make-up artists, media, stylists, jewellery crafters and many fashion enthusiasts under the same roof.

The show is taking place at Maerua Mall P3 parking, and will host five different slots consisting of various local designers showcasing their work throughout the week including collections from Singera, College of The Arts’ students, HoneyCassie and many others.

The highly-anticipated show in Namibia’s fashion calendar has grown over the years. In its sixth edition (2021), MTCWFW was held under the theme ‘Made in Namibia’, and celebrating locally-made fashion products.

The show has equally been praised for its inclusivity in creating a platform for new designers as well as advocating for body positivity by having plus-sized and older women on the runway.
