Former Ghanaian president, Flight Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings, and his wife Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, arrived in the country yesterday as guests of Namibian Prime Minister Hage Geingob. During his five-day visit, Rawlings will attend the 90th birthday celebration of liberation struggle icon Herman Andimba Toivo ya Toivo at the Independence Stadium on Saturday as well as the Pan-African Center’s seminar titled Africa Rising, scheduled for tomorrow at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. He will also visit various industries in Windhoek and Walvis Bay before returning to Ghana next week Tuesday.Photo: Fifi Rhodes
