Ambitious Namibian top model, Meriam Kaxuxwena, has once again grasped another limelight after scooping yet another international award of Best Catwalk special award.
This is at this year’s annual global beauty pageant, Miss Diamond of the World held in Algeria recently. The gangling Namibian queen competed in the contest by invited from the organisers of the annual event. Meriam competed against other contestants from different countries. Meriam who always refers to herself as an “African Barbie” says she was very thankful and honoured for the award and she will use it to help others.
Meriam started her modelling career in 2006 when she was crowned Miss Valentine, and the next year at the Augustineum High School. Ever since she has been involved and participating in different international pageants and fashion shows were she received much recognition locally and internationally. Last year she scooped two international awards of Best Catwalk Model and Best Complexion Model during the World Bikini Model International pageant in China. The same year she also took part in Miss Tourism Universe in Lebanon and won the Miss Africa 2014 title.
The journey of success continues for Meriam as she doesn’t tend to stop when it comes to her modelling career hoping to bring lots of awards home and inspire those who are interested to venture into the modelling career.
