Desire the prophetic author

A lightbulb went on for new author Desire Reinecke while watching a Tom and Jerry cartoon four years ago, which inspired her to write her first book called ‘Chronicles of Revelations’.  The born-again Reinecke told VIBEZ! she realised then that she should share each revelation she receives from God with friends and family.

“My excitement to always want to share each revelation I receive with friends and family, whether at home or church, is what got me so much content; if I can call it that. My mentor and spiritual father, prophet Maxwell van der Westhuizen – having written three books already – was also a great inspiration and he also guided me towards the idea of writing a book. Following in my prophet’s footsteps, I have combined three books in one,” she explained.  The prophetic author, as she calls herself, hopes to evoke an ‘aha’ moment or feeling from readers when they go through the book.

“I desire to make someone out there remember the ‘aha’ moment they had at one point in their life when they were seeking for a solution to a problem that seemed to have no answer and out of nowhere received an answer. I pray that each reader will embrace the fact that the Holy Spirit has always been with them, as Jonathan (the son of King Saul) had been with David (the mighty giant slayer).”

‘Chronicles of Revelations’ is her first attempt at writing, which proved to be challenging but worthwhile upon seeing the final product, she said.  Reinecke believes revelations are broad, come in different forms, at different times and they also differ based on the season that you are in.

“Revelations can be comforting when you require it. They can rebuke you too when you go wrong somewhere, they can give guidance concerning something that you might be facing.  The subject, revelations, was chosen by the Holy Spirit just for me,” she pointed out.

“I remember asking the Holy Spirit what title I should give my next book. The Holy Spirit made it crystal clear that I will have something to write about for a very long time and that the title will not change, but what will change is the content. The revelations I have received are in chronological order, and as I continue to grow in the Lord, the revelations will also get deeper spiritually.”

She gave her life to Christ in October 2018 during an altar call at her house of fellowship called ‘House of Love and Solutions Ministries’.

“The change that took place on my friend’s life is what attracted me to the God of my father. This made me curious to get to know this God! I can’t say it has been easy, but all things are possible through Christ who strengthens me,” she concluded.  The book will officially be launched on 2 July 2022 at a venue to be announced soon.
