It is alleged the driver, Vilho Jordan (41), of the white Corolla, was overtaking and, in the process, rammed into an oncoming vehicle, resulting in the death of Frans Nghihangakenwa Festus. The victim hails from Onamulele village in Oshikoto region.

Jordan sustained chest and back pain as a result of the impact, while his passengers David Nuule (21) suffered a pelvic fracture, and Pontius Andreas (36) broke both legs, according to the police report.

Meanwhile, the driver of the bakkie, Johannes Andreas (69), survived, but he sustained head injuries, while his six occupants also escaped with an assortment of injuries.
