Agra opens biggest branch ever
Windhoek Stocked to the roof with products worth N$28 million, more than 8,000 square metres of floor space that accommodate 3,000 product lines, Agra’s new retail shop branch in Windhoek’s Lafrenz Industrial area, which opened this week, is the biggest ever. This shop is aimed at farmers, builders, as well as the general public. “There is plenty of free parking, wide corridors between the shelves, a huge variety of products in a very neat, light and friendly shopping environment with twenty cashiers – a shopper’s feast,” said Abelene Boer, Agra’s senior marketing manager. The new branch offers new product lines, such as electric ware and catering and house ware. New products have been added to existing product ranges, such as the plumbing, garden, irrigation, pet care, camping and outdoor, hunting and slaughtering ranges. There is now a mixing station for paint, a variety of bicycles to choose from, as well as the basic cycling tools. In the auto division, clients can choose from a larger variety of parts, such as axles, wheels and tyres. The hunting and outdoor division also offers a wider variety of products for the outdoor enthusiast and hunter. Besides the usual products focusing on the needs of farmers and the wide variety of products available for housewives and the general public, this branch also caters for builders. The large outdoor area provides space to stock building material, such as steel, window frames, doors and cement. The establishment of this branch also created jobs for 150 people. New employees joined in the course of the past month and have been receiving training in their respective positions. The Agra branch in the Auas Valley Shopping Mall will continue with its services to farmers and the general public. A facelift for this branch is also on the cards during the next phase of the upgrade to the Auas Valley Shopping Mall.
