Two arrested for possession of dagga
Rundu - Two suspects will appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court today after they were arrested for possession of cannabis which they transported in a blue Toyota Corolla that bore a false number plate. According to the police the two were apprehended on Friday after the police became suspicious about the car’s registration number. “So we pulled off the vehicle, searched it and found that there were parcels of cannabis, that is how we got hold of the suspects,” said Detective Chief Inspector Chrispin Mubebo of the Kavango East Regional Police. When New Era reached the station, the police were busy searching the vehicle. “We found four parcels in the right rear door and another four in the left rear door and underneath the vehicle we found one parcel,” Mubebo said. “The message to the public is that we are very much vigilant of any suspicious looking vehicle that might be involved in any criminal activity.” “We will finish the search of this car today and will charge the occupants,” Mubebo said.
