"By Staff Reporter WINDHOEK A total of 21 students on Friday graduated after completing an intensive five-month training programme at Bank Windhoek's Learning and Development Department. Minister of Education Nangolo Mbumba was the keynote speaker at the event. ""Bank Windhoek and Capricorn Investment Holdings are aware that there is a need to increasingly tackle the low levels of skills and education in Namibia. Bank Windhoek will continue to commit itself to the education, training and development of its staff members in order to contribute positively to the well-being of our country,"" said Fillimon Ngairo, Head of Bank Windhoek's Learning and Development Department during the graduation ceremony. Bank Windhoek launched the Bank School Programme in January 1996. Since its inception, more than 400 students have successfully completed the Bank School programme. Candidates are selected in October of every year for participation in the programme that commences in January of the following year. ""I would like to congratulate Bank Windhoek in achieving their objectives with this programme. I would also like to encourage them to continue with the Bank School as it has made significant inroads in the development of our nation's human resource development and improvement of service delivery to clients. This no doubt positively contributed to the socio-economic development of our country,"" said Mbumba at the graduation ceremony. "
