BREAKING: Windhoek High Court Judge Christi Liebenberg has sentenced former education minister Katrina Hanse-Himarwa to a fine of N$50 000 or, in case of default, 24 months in jail, following her recent corruption conviction.

    This is a lesson to every Ministers out there who are abusing the power of their office and think they will get away with it just like that. Its high time Namibian people to put an end to corruptive activities, bring all the guilty parties to book.

    I have no qualms about the punishment meted out to Katrina Hanse-Himarwa by the court. I only don't want to see it [starting and] ending with her. That's all!

    Just a slap on the wrist, the justice system has failed the Namibians! , so you steal millions and only have to pay back a small percentage, this will not stop other ministers doing the same...
