Bucs Have Knives Out for Stars
"By Carlos Kambaekwa WINDHOEK With no less than five matches on the cards when the MTC Namibia Premiership resumes business tomorrow - there is no doubt that the peak of the Round 15 matches is the penultimate late kickoff clash between old foes Orlando Pirates and African Stars, at the Khomasdal Stadium (17h00). Buoyed by last weekend's showing which saw them claiming the scalps of log leaders Ramblers - the Reds will starts as favourites against Brian Isaacs' talented but often erratic team that squandered a two-goal lead with ten minutes to go in their last league outing against relegation-threatened Fedics United at Keetmanshoop last weekend. Ramblers, still licking their wounds after last weekend's below par showing, will be out to get back to winning ways at the expense of Dawid Snewe's Mighty Gunners at the Ramblers Stadium tomorrow afternoon (15h00). The Tunchel Street Boys welcome back the league's leading goal scorer Pineas Jacobs, who missed last weekend's defeat at Stars through suspension. Oshakati City host arch rivals Tigers at the town's Independence Stadium and will be out to prove that last weekend's morale boosting win over defending champions Civics was no fluke. The battle for survival continues at the foot of the table with basement residents Fedics United playing host to fellow strugglers APS Blue Waters at the J Stephanus Stadium in Keetmanshoop (17h00). Second placed Sport Klub Windhoek faces its sternest test of character in top flight football when the Germans travel to the coast for a match that is destined to design their fairytale run in the Namibia Premiership so far this season. The less talented but highly disciplined ""Imawida"" can expect little mercy from a frustrated Eleven Arrows outfit, fresh from the shock defeat inflicted on them by league rookies Mighty Gunners at Otjiwarongo, last weekend. Defeat for the hosts would all but seal their fading title aspirations and the maroon and gold coastal outfit would in all likelihood fancy their chance to redeem themselves and its unfortunate that their aggressive revival campaign will start with the visiting SKW when the two giants come face to face at the Kuisebmond Stadium in Walvis Bay (17h00). Unless otherwise stated, all matches will kick off at 17h00. "
