Old friends and acquaintances converged at Joe’s Beer House in Eros, Windhoek to pay homage to Namibia’s much recognized and most successful football export, Hermann “Pele” Blaschke (centre front row). The former Kaizer Chiefs icon was briefly in his native land for the burial of his younger brother. Those who still kept in touch with the likeable and humorous former Thistles (Khomasdal) and Atlanta Chiefs (Swakopmund) sharpshooter surprised him with a night out (dinner) as recognition for his unrivalled contribution to football. 2015-09-10Staff Report 2
