Cricket Foundation for Raymond van Schoor
Windhoek In remembrance of Raymond von Schoor and to further promote cricket in Namibia, Zandré la Cock and her trustees, national player Sarel Burger and the president of Cricket Namibia (CN), Richard Frankle, launched the Raymond van Schoor Cricket Foundation over the weekend. The foundation is a charitable organisation that raises funds to provide young talented Namibian cricketers with the opportunity to follow their dreams and live their passion while leaving a long-lasting legacy for Von Schoor who tragically passed away last year. Namibian junior cricketers as well as coaches are invited to approach the trustees to apply for financial assistance for the necessary equipment, coaching and travel costs. To raise funds, the foundation will host a gala dinner on April 22, followed by an U11 and U13 tournament in August and a golf day in September.
