Deon Hotto attracts PSL giants’ attention
WINDHOEK - If headlines in the South African media are anything to go by, then Namibian international and South African first division club Lamontville Golden Arrows enterprising winger Deon Hotto’s recent performance has certainly not gone unnoticed as three PSL clubs are said to be after his signature. Hotto’s recent impressive showing and tremendous work rate has seen him being at the centre of discussions on various South African sports platforms, including Supersport, with many describing him as the next big thing on the country’s football scene. The fast-improving Brave Warriors youngster has so far scored only two goals for the club but has been the brains behind a horde of goals that has seen the Durban club rise to the top of the South African first division log table and could possibly return to premiership football come next season. According to reports, South African Professional Soccer League (PSL) giant SuperSport United is said to be leading the pack of clubs chasing after Hotto’s signature. Other interested clubs are University of Pretoria (Tuks) and Bloemfontein Celtic, who have all immense interest in the 25 year-old Namibian football sensation. The situation could leave Arrows with a huge fight on their hands at the end of the season as they look to keep Hotto in their nest. The left-footed lethal winger joined Arrows in January last year as the club was battling for survival in the PSL, however was unable to help them in their fight to survive in South Africa’s top flight league. - Additional info: soccerladuma.co.za
