Doeseb sends marketing manager packing
"Windhoek The dust has hardly settled in the aftermath of the suspension of long-serving firebrand Namibia Football Association (NFA) secretary general Barry Rukoro and another football administrator bites the dust. In a document leaked to New Era Sport, the country’s flagship league, the MTC Premiership, has summarily ordered its marketing manager, Ivan Tshabalala, to stay home pending an investigation into undisclosed events that transpired on the May 12. The suspension, letter signed by charismatic NPL chairman Johnny ‘JJD’ Doeseb, reads verbatim: ‘I’ve received a recommendation that you be suspended from office without pay until the investigation is completed and decided to heed the call. Pursuant to the conditions of your employment contract, you are herewith suspended, effective from May 31.” It also stated that the removal of Tshabalala from office is needed to allow his bosses to thoroughly examine the state of affairs and determine appropriate action to be taken. Should the investigation not be completed during the said period, the chairman reserves the right to extend the period of suspension. The grounded football administrator stands accused of having committed an act of serious misconduct by taking ‘French leave’ since the May 12. Interestingly, the suspended Tshabalala has been asked in no uncertain terms to remain at his residence during normal working hours and may only leave with permission from his immediate supervisor. He has also been instructed to keep a healthy distance from NPL premises while on suspension, until such time the suspension is lifted. In addition, the mild mannered and articulate football administrator has been ordered to return with immediate effect all company property in his possession, including the NPL vehicle.     [caption id=""attachment_89244"" align=""alignnone"" width=""201""] Grounded …  Suspended NPL marketing manager[/caption]"
