The Dogg apologises to fans for no CD
WINDHOEK- The Dogg is apologising to his fans for the inconvenience caused for availing the new CD when he launched his eight album last Friday at the Khomadal Stadium here.   The album was supposed to be in the country at the time of the launch but he Dogg  says that all the CDs for the new album have not yet been done and are still in South Africa for duplication and they will only be available in Namibia as from next Monday.  “We send the album to South Africa two weeks ago before the CD launch and we expected it to be back in Namibia before that time, since the maximum time for the CD to be duplicated in SA only takes two weeks. But when we contacted them there told us that the CDs are not yet done,” says The Dogg through telephonically interview.     The first Namibian Kwaito star to win the Kora award last year, Martin Morocky popularly known launched his eighth album Live or Die. Although the show was a great success and fully attended, some fans were disappointed by the absence of the new album. The Dogg promised and advised his fans before the launch to buy tickets for N$ 150 and N$250 for VIPs to attend the show and get a free copy of the new album at the gate since the normal entrance was only N$ 50. However, The Dogg did not live up to his promise and there was no any Live or Die CD available in the country. “The situation of supplying the market is unacceptable, we are very much angry and demanding explanations from The Dogg himself. The Dogg was supposed to sign our CDs at the gate and we would like to know if he will still going to sign them, once they arrive,” says Ndeshi Namolo. Andrew Iiyalo says that it’s not a usual thing since they expected to get the CDs before the show, “we are very disappointed because we attended the show without not any CDs, after all it was not a CD launch since there were no CDs for the new album.” The Dogg adds that, those who have tickets there must keep them and wait for the CDs to arrive and all of them will be signed according to the agreement.     By Pinehas Nakaziko
