Drunk, unlicenced driver crashes into house
2016-02-05Staff Report 2 Walvis Bay A Kuisebmond family was yesterday left homeless after a driver who was seemingly under the influence of an intoxicating substance lost control and drove the car into the house causing extensive damage although the occupants escaped unhurt. Some of the family members who were at home when the accident happened said that they heard a loud bang and initially thought there had been an accident in the street. “To our shock there was a car in the middle of our living room and not in the street as we initially thought,” related a family member. A 42- year-old man was arrested on the same day and is expected to appear in court today on a charge of drunk and reckless driving according to Chief Inspector Erastus Iikuyu. Additionally, the man would be charged for driving without a licence and operating an unlicensed or unregistered vehicle on a public road. 2016-02-05Staff Report 2
