All vocalists, instrumentalists (guitar, bass guitar), percussionists (cajon, drums, castanets), musicians and dancers (professional and amateur) are invited to attend an introductory workshop to flamenco offered by the award-winning duo - Dúo Del Mar from Spain at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) on Monday. 

Starting at 15h00, the interactive workshop promises to be a lot of fun where participants will experience the art of flamenco. 

Participants are requested to take along their own guitars and any other instrument/s of choice. 

A day later, Dúo Del Mar will perform at the same venue for an evening of flamenco and classical music, interweaving rhythms and harmonies to show all the expressive possibilities of the Spanish guitar. 

Dúo Del Mar is a musical union between classical guitarist Alicia Grillo and Marta Robles - one of the few soloists in the world of flamenco guitar. 

This duo travels with their music through hundreds of colours and landscapes, taking the listener through surprising and sometimes almost impossible atmospheres. 

The show starts at 19h00 and entrance is free but there are limited tickets which will be given on a first come first serve basis; maximum of two tickets per person. 

Be sure to collect your ticket in advance at The National Theatre of Namibia office, 12 John Meinert Street, Windhoek during office hours. 

The event is presented by the Spanish embassy in Namibia in partnership with the NTN.
