Easy Payday for Hitman
"By Carlos Kambaekwa WINDHOEK Namibia's WBA continental and Inter Continental Lightweight champion Paulus ""the Hitman"" Moses made it 23 in a row. The diminutive boxer out-boxed his Belarus opponent Yauhen Kruhlik in the 2nd of their 10-round non-title bout in Tokyo Japan, yesterday. The fight lasted less than six minutes after the Belarus boxer lost further interest in the bout following a technical knockout (TKO) in the second round. The victory was Moses' 23rd in the paid ranks with 17 of those bouts failing to go the full distance. Meanwhile, the much-hyped WBA Lightweight World Title fight between defending champion Jose Alfaro and Japanese challenger Yusuke Kobori, ended in disappointment for the Nicaraguan boxer. Alfaro suffered a 3rd round technical knockout against the unknown hard-hitting Japanese in only his first title defence - thus paving the way for Moses to stake a claim for the WBA Lightweight title against Kobori within 120 days as from yesterday. Moses is the mandatory challenger for the WBA Welterweight crown but had to waive his rights after world-acclaimed boxing promoter Don King dangled an undisclosed amount of carrot in the face of his camp to step aside.
