Eenhana appoints new CEO

ONGWEDIVA – The new CEO of the Eenhana Town Council,  Gabriel Benjamin, has vowed to turn the local authority into a preferred investment destination.

Benjamin took office on 1 January 2021. He replaces Walde Ndevashiya, who was last year appointed governor of Ohangwena region.
On his five-year plan calendar, Benjamin also wishes to improve the living standard of the town’s inhabitants and ensure they have access to land and housing.

He will further seek to develop tourism opportunities and improve local economic development at the town.
Equally, he said, he will ensure sustainable environmental management and enhance attractiveness, further improving the image of the town. Benjamin holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and has 25 years experience in the public sector, responsible for providing policy advice and technical assistance to government offices, ministries and agencies, including regional and local authority councils, to enable implementation of sustainable development strategies, policies and projects.
