"WINDHOEK The Hilton Windhoek, the only 5-star hotel in Windhoek, is home to three world-class restaurants: D’Vine, a contemporary bar and wine cellar; Ekipa, home to an exciting show kitchen and portable wine trolley; and Kalabar, a bar with a breath-taking terrace view, and one beautiful, panoramic bar; conveniently named the Skybar. Throughout the week, these restaurants play host to a range of activities to keep guests entertained. The restaurants host something called ‘Theme nights’, and the Skybar comes alive at 7pm with the best in local entertainment. All day, every day Sushi Hilton Windhoek’s D’Vine Wine and Sushi Bar is home to an experienced Sushi chef who has a whole lot of surprises up his sleeve. Tuesdays is interactive dining. Ever wanted to find out how some of this magnificent cuisine is prepared? Step into a chef’s world by joining their interactive dinner nights as well as dine ine in their incredible show kitchen, Ekipa where guests are given an opportunity to prepare their own dishes with the help of professional chefs. It’s an exciting experience filled with many laughs. Wednesdays are Italian nights. With the decreasing exchange rate, it might be difficult for most Africans to travel to Europe, but luckily, Ekipa brings Italy to Africa every Wednesday evening . Every Wednesday evening with an Italian night, where patrons can have a chance to indulge in all that Italian cuisine has to offer, with only a two hour flight away. Thursdays are Indian nights which adds a little spice to one’s life with Hilton Windhoek’s Indian nights at Ekipa. The menu changes weekly, which means there’s spicy surprise waiting for anyone every week. Fridays are about Local is Lekker which are abut rediscovering and savouring the magic of authentic local flavours with various foods like Tripe, Game Meat, Vetkoek and Mopani worms, all prepared for one’s absolute enjoyment. An Ala cart menu is also available for those who aren’t feeling as adventurous. For those who don’t want the party to end there, there’s also after dinner activities to keep them entertained all night long. Every Thursday and Friday evening Hilton Windhoek hosts Jazzetcetera (live jazz music) and Namjams. These evenings often showcase exclusive performances, so keep an eye out for your favourite local performers. Not to miss is Artist Daena who will be performing at Jazzetcetera, every first Thursday of the month at the Kalabar. "
