Fireworks at the Khomas Super 10…as league returns

The Khomas Netball Super 10 returned over the weekend, and players are excited to play again.

The league’s public relations officer Isack Hamata told New Era Sport that although there were signs of rustiness amongst players after a prolonged break due to the ongoing coronavirus, he is certain the competitiveness of the league would improve in the coming weeks. “Enthusiasm is great; players are happy to return to the courts. Fitness is at different levels. Some clubs have done some fitness work during the restriction period while others are catching up,” he said. Netball, like other contact sport, was on hold due to Covid-19 restrictions to prevent the further spread of the virus. However, the government lifted the ban recently when the number of infections dropped.

Action in the Super 10, first and second divisions took place on Friday and Saturday at the Nampol courts. -mkambukwe@nepc.com.na
