FNB Kwata cricket programme provides playing gear
WINDHOEK - In its quest to develop cricket in all corners of the country, Cricket Namibia (CN) via its First National Bank (FNB) Kwata cricket development programme has provided beneficiaries with playing gear for the 2015 season. The FNB sponsorship was initiated in April 2014 and will run up to the end of March 2017. The annual development sponsorship amounts to N$425 000. The support package consists of kits for youngsters and coaches shirts and will be distributed throughout the country. It will be featured in the 2015 FNB Kwata cricket programme. A delighted Jona Ambuga, development facilitator of Cricket Namibia, said: “Thank you to FNB for the contribution towards the development of cricket. Not all the schools are privileged to have playing outfit for their young cricketers and the era of playing in all kinds of clothes is now an issue of the past.” George Lututu a teacher and coach at Auas Primary said he was proud to be part of the programme as the cricket family is growing bigger and bigger.
