GIPF says it regards member education as an integral part of its business strategy. As such the fund notes that it is passionate about ensuring that its members understand and are knowledgeable about GIPF rules, procedures and policies.

“Member education focuses on all the services we offer such as how one can become a member of the fund or membership information,  amendments of members’ records, retirement, benefits payable to deceased family members, funeral cover and resignations,” said Amos Kambonde, GIPF’s marketing manager.

Kambonde explained that GIPF’s upcoming countrywide roadshows will offer services such as attending to pension enquiries, provision of retirement advice, biometric/fingerprint registration and verification of pensioners, provision of benefit statements, income statements and the submission of required outstanding documents.

“We are therefore inviting our members to join us this week in the Omaheke Region between June 01 and 06. Our ‘Pension on Wheels’ will be making rounds in Gobabis and the surrounding villages with our client consultants’ crew to attend to all your queries during the roadshow,” explained Kambonde.

He explained that as part of the educational roadshow campaign, GIPF will also introduce members to the new GIPF corporate brand. He noted that the institution has been re-branded in line with its expanded mandate within Namibia’s socio-economic sector.

“We are thus inviting members of the fund in particular and the public in general to join us on Saturday 06 June 2015 at the Shoprite parking area in Gobabis,” added Kambonde. He continued that the next member education roadshow will take place in the Otjozondjupa and Kunene regions.
