The second volume of the Heal Our Land gospel concert will take place tomorrow at the Zoo Park Amphitheatre in Windhoek. 

Local artists such as Sovita Joshua, Maranatha Goroh, Uvatera, Pride Panashe, Dee’A, D Naff, Vuuyo Johnson, Lala Sakeus and Clive Willemse will vow the crowd. 

International acts include Joshua Jansen, Lebo Sekgobela, Manda Gabriel and Dumi Mkokstad.

Taking place under the theme ‘Hope in times of despair’, the concert aims to bring the nation together, raise awareness and remind everyone about the love of God that is able to help us conquer all our troubles, anxiety and fears as a nation. 

“The Namibian nation should expect a jam-packed event with powerful music. We have three bands for the night and a great line-up and a surprise act from South Africa, so they should come to dance and have a good time,” said Ndilimeke Nambinga, chairperson of the Heal Our Land concert. 

Following the first concert held in 2019, this upcoming showpiece will be held now after an untimely hiatus caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nambinga said the concert’s name derives from the foundation’s name, the Heal Our Land Foundation – a faith-based organisation that “seeks firstly to seek God’s face using music as a unifier and a form of worship and another significant aspect to mention, is that the concert allows the necessary platform to show the talent and craft of Namibian gospel musicians and artists”. 

She said the VIPs can expect much.  Not only do they have free parking at Avani Hotel and Casino, but they also have greatly discounted prices for accommodation at Avani, and they get to party away at Avani Stratos. 

“We have three powerful bands for that night, so everyone should put on their jumping shoes and get ready for an unforgettable night,” said Nambinga.
