Johannes was handed  the keys to his bakkie by the general manager for products solutions at MTC, Andre De Jager, on Friday morning at the telecommunication operator’s head office in Olympia, Windhoek. The bakkie was the grand prize of the successful SMS & WIN competition. In addition to the grand prize, the competition throughout its duration daily gave away N$2 000 dollars to MTC customers, who partook in the competition. As if this was not enough, the promotion also had a weekly winner – with an amount of N$10 000 dollars given at the end of each week during the competition period to a number of winners. MTC chief corporate affairs and human capital officer Tim Ekandjo said, “Truest in the form of MTC’s gratitude and support of our customers, we felt obliged and duty bound to extend this remarkable gesture to our customers, the 081 nation, whom without their patronage and loyalty, we won’t be what we are today.” “I would love to thank and appreciate everyone that has participated in the SMS & WIN competition, and furthermore to congratulate Mr Gabriel Jonas as the lucky winner of the grand prize and all the daily and weekly winners. In life one never knows when his or her luck will pay off until you try it. So congratulations to them all,” Ekandjo said.
