Organisers of the Kasi Vibe Festival are inviting young Namibian entrepreneurs to showcase their products or services at the event slated for 3 to 6 March 2022 in Windhoek.
The popular event gives young entrepreneurs a platform to promote their products, put their services out there and make revenue. It also presents an opportunity to network with the possibility of getting investors. Entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 are urged to apply for stalls.
“Due to the Covid-19 regulations, we are looking at accommodating at least 50 young entrepreneurs. Our focus is products and services stalls; SMEs – definitely,” revealed Salmi Shiguedha, the festival’s spokesperson. Shiguedha added that Covid-19 affected many SMEs and upcoming start-ups, and they are hereby encouraged to participate in the exhibition platform.
“Kasi Vibe Namibia wants to provide an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to meet, demonstrate and share their talents, goods, services and products, thereby promoting SME development in Namibia.” The festival has become an important part of the capital’s entertainment industry and a business hub that promotes fashion, culture, among others, and creates a jovial space for young and the old. Shiguedha said many exhibitors who have showcased their products and services at the festival in the past, have grown to become bigger and better. These include the AfroPrint Line, Gweri Vintage, Ila Tulye Kitchen. “All these amazing brands were born and bred through Kasi Vibe as start-ups. Later on, a master class will be hosted and an end-of-year market,” stated Shiguedha. Kasi Vibe will be hosted twice this year. The festival remains a podium of choice for upcoming entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, thus giving the initiative utmost determination to push forward, especially considering that about 35 food stalls and 30 beverage stalls, 60 services and other products’ stalls are accommodated at this three-day event. “Kasi is still and remains the common slang used among young people in the community to refer to the location they are from. It is against this background that Kasi Vibe aims to create a platform in the community with the objectives of bringing out young entrepreneurs and SMEs to showcase their innovations through product marketing and sales,” elaborated Shiguedha. Kasi Vibe has hosted eight successful festivals to date, drawing thousands of festivalgoers and creating an opportunity for young exhibitors to build their brands. - firstname.lastname@example.org
