Regain Trust and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung with co-funding from the European Union officially launched a project titled Survivor’s Speak Up. The launch coincided with a public dialogue titled “A holistic approach towards the prevention of Gender based Violence and Learner Pregnancy and protection of those affected” on the 07th of July 2018 at FNCC. Present at the event was the ambassador of the European Union to Namibia Her Excellency Jana Hybaskova, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Honourable Lucia Witbooi, Chairperson of National Council and Patron of the Project Honourable Margaret Mensah-Williams, GBV Survivor and Director of the Khalina Foundation, Ms. Liina Nakanduungile, Development Agencies such as UNFPA and UNDP, Namibian Police Force, and representatives from various Civil Society Organisations . The project will be implemented in three regions namely Khomas, Erongo and Omusati. Survivor’s Speak Up is a project that seeks to contribute towards National efforts to address GBV and Learner Pregnancy by strengthening and enhancing the delivery of prevention and protection services.
