League title is for Tigers to lose, says Jacobs ... BA adrift after Pirates defeat

Jacobs made the remarks following yesterday's 1-0 defeat against Orlando Pirates at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in the capital. Pirates striker Terdius Uiseb score the only goal of the match. Going into the weekend's round of matches, Black Africa needed to win both games to cut the 12-points gap between them and log leaders Tigers, but with yesterday loss and Saturday's 1-all draw, their chances of catching up with Tigers appear to be fading as the gap now stands at 11-points after yesterday's matches. ""I have to admit that our chances of winning the league are very slim. We needed to win both matches, but as things currently stand, the league title is for Tigers to win. The players tried their level best, but it seems like it was just not our weekend and our opponents also worked very hard, so credit also goes to them,"" Jacobs said. Technically speaking, Tigers only needs one or perhaps two wins from their four remaining games to be crowned MTC Namibia Premier League (NPL) champions for 2015-2016. Tigers tops the log with 60-points, while Black Africa are in 2nd place with 49 points.
