Learners left for Germany
The winners of the National German as a Foreign Language Competition, who have left for Germany recently are Utani Hikuam (Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek), Gideon Du Plessis (Pro Ed Academy, Swakopmund), Caroline Izaaks (Rocky Crest High School, Windhoek), und Maximillian Endjala (Tsumeb Secondary School). For all of them it is the first major trip abroad, so excitement ran high among both the youths and their parents. The students will be cared for in Europe by contact persons from the Pädagogischer Austauschdienst (PAD). In Germany they will live with guest families, take part in language courses and do an internship at German schools. Their trip takes them to Berlin, Bonn, Munich and Rheinberg or Mühlheim.
