“Lost and found” exhibit opens at FNCC
WINDHOEK- Lost and Found Section an exhibition by Evert Joone opened at the Franco Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC)  Restaurant La Bonne Table on Monday. The exhibition has been inspired by the fact that in the world so many things are thrown away, lost and forgotten. Being in the construction industry, Joone’s sees in each piece of material that has been thrown away the potential to be something new again, “the potential to be reborn again as something different,” he says. “With this each lost piece once found is given a new purpose. What most of the artwork reflects is the fact that, like in life, you have to lose yourself to find yourself, to be reborn,” says Joone. The exhibition runs until June 5.
