LP Family releases new album

Staying true to the game, LP Family Records has not put brakes on their music careers, having released three albums and three videos last year during a time the entertainment scene took a back seat.

All the way from the Erongo region, the record label consists of Kortez Maslangonyoka, Brakes and Zella Fullforce.

The stable recently dropped another album, titled ‘Weekend party soundtrack’.

VIBEZ! caught up with Gabriel Kamupone, also known as Kortez, who said they are still working as a group perfecting their art.

“We are doing really good, actually. We have a feel-good album that will definitely keep you on your feet. It is selling like Herero brood (bread); we are actually out of stock,” he pointed out.

The album was produced by Petrus Kipit (Professor Scava) and Zella Fullforce, with features from Damara Dik Ding and Exit.

“We have various local sounds blended with Amapiano on the album. As we are facing difficult times, we want people to enjoy life and have fun while bumping to the new tunes.”

Kortez feels it is tough without live shows and very difficult to generate money for themselves at the moment.

“We should find jobs or means to generate money to take care of our families. Let’s swallow our pride and do what we gotta do for our loved ones. Artists must unite and fight the spirit of division at the same time,” he ended.

Even though the stablemates live in different towns, they have vowed that distance will not stop them from making music.
