March 30 is D-Day for Poly students register for survey and win prizes
WINDHOEK- Students from the Polytechnic of Namibia (PoN) are being invited to partake in a survey to which they must submit the answers  by March 30 where after they would will some prizes if they are the lucky ones. The first winner will receive study fee worth N$4500, second N$3000 and third a study fee to the value of bN$1500.  This is if they volunteer in assisting a social science research survey titled Fear of Crime and Punitive Attitudes. According to Stefan Schulz, the project leader, all PoN students are welcome to take part and the names of all those respondents completing  and returning  the questionnaire and the separate student’s  entry form within the response period, will  be put in a draw.  He says the registration  numbers  of those who have taken part in the survey will then be drawn from the pool by means of  random selection. “Any winning student number will be removed from the pool for the purpose of further draws, no participants may win more than one prize,” says Schulz. Full time and part time students can obtain the survey questionnaires from the office of the Criminal Justice Programme Administrator, Poly Heights on the third  floor, Office Apartment 307 at the  Polytechnic of Namibia. Distance students can obtain the questionnaires from their respective Distance Centres. “Answered questionnaires have to be submitted together with a separate survey register/student entry form on which your student number appears, within the survey period, which ends March 30, at the office of the Criminal Justice Programme Administrator,” notes Schulz. He adds that students may only participate once. “The draw will only take place under the condition that more than 1 500 registered Polytechnic students have participated and responded to the questions in the questionnaire by March 30,” informs Schulz. The fourth to the tenth lucky draws will get text books of the courses they are studying.
