Before that he was a member of parliament on a Congress of Democrats (CoD) and Swapo tickets. He is a former chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security. He is also a former deputy minister of information and broadcasting. Education: He holds a Master’s in Policy Studies and another in Social Science, and a Bachelor of Arts after having matriculated from Rundu Secondary School.
