2015-04-27Staff Report 2 Edmund Jagger, 26, accused of the murder of his girlfriend and mother of his child, got a lawyer at last. Jagger who has been without legal representation since his arrest was informed late last week that he would be represented by Joshua Kaumbi in his murder trial. Kaumbi on Thursday asked Judge Nate Ndauendapo to postpone the matter to give him time to consult with his client and to reply to the State’s pre-trial memorandum. Jagger allegedly killed 22-year-old Renelda Alien Oamite Hoeses by stabbing her 18 times. According to the indictment, Jagger entered the residence of the deceased’s father at Erf 1978, Build Together in Orwetoweni in Otjiwarongo during the late night hours of Friday March 01, 2013 or the early morning hours of March 02, 2013 armed with a knife and attacked her. The deceased died on the scene due to hypovolemic shock caused by the stab wounds. After the attack, it is stated, Jagger fled the scene and he attempted to commit suicide before he was arrested. 2015-04-27Staff Report 2
