Mafikizolo’s frontwoman Nhlanhla Mafu is in Namibia for a video shoot with Zandimaz and Nutty O for their song ‘Ngifuna wena’. Nhlanhla took to Instagram to share that she is on her way here, saying: “Short left to Windhoek, Namibia for @zandimaz music video shoot”
‘Ngifuna wena’ will drop on the 27th of August with Nhlanhla and Nutty O on the feature, while Zandimaz will be on the decks. It is safe to say that this will definitely be a deadly combination. People are ready for the song to drop, and we are sure the video will even be more lit. A week ago, Nutty O celebrated hitting a million views for his song ‘Safe’.
Nhlanhla recently launched her record label, Home Base Records. Announcing the news on her Instagram page, Nhlanhla said: “I’m about to launch my own record company, #HomeBaseRecords. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be counted amongst a few women in SA who own record companies”.
“It has long been a dream of mine, and am so happy it’s about to come true. I know the journey may not be an easy one, but I’m just grateful for the opportunity. I thank God and my family for supporting me and my dreams always.”
Nhlanhla also announced the first artist signed under Home Base Records is Thulani.
“Allow me to introduce the 1st artist to be signed by#HomeBaseRecords @m_thulz. He just recently joined Instagram; kindly show some love and follow a young brotha.”
When Nhlanhla’s ex-husband TK Nciza closed the record label he owned with DJ Sbu, we thought it was over for Mafikizolo and the duo’s singing careers, but the duo thrived even more, and gave us hit after hit.
Mafikizolo is with Kalawa Jazmee Records and with that record label, we know we can expect magic. They never get it wrong.
The other member of Mafikizolo, Theo Kgosinkwe, has been having a blast being a father and a husband to his wife, Vourné. They met on social media.
The musician and Vourné tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony on Vourne’s 26th birthday. Although they said they had to postpone all the celebrations until this year due to Covid-19 protocols, the couple just could not wait to finally become Mr and Mrs Kgosinkwe.
Nhlanhla celebrated her son’s birthday two months ago.
“Happy birthday to my smile keeper, the one who holds the key to my heart. The one whose smile just melts my heart. I love you so much, Luvuyo. I love your beautiful heart. I love how you see beauty in everything and everyone, and this world may make it seem like that is a weakness, but that’s actually your power my son.” We cannot wait to finally hear the song that we are sure will be a banger. We cannot wait for the music video even more, because y’all know Namibia never misses when it comes to music videos.
