Namibian boxers dominate ‘No Mercy Part 5’ bonanza
2016-08-08Staff Report 2 Windhoek Saturday proved a great day for Namibian boxers when they dominated all proceedings during the No Mercy Part 5 boxing bonanza, held at the Windhoek Country Club. First to open the floodgates of unabated victories was Namibia’s Walter ‘The Executioner’ Kautondokwa, who dispatched his South African namesake Walter Dlamini via a first round technical knockout (TKO) to clinch the vacant WBO Africa middleweight title. With the victory over the clearly out of sorts South African, Kautondokwa extended his already impressive record to 12 wins from 12 fights and also earned him his first ever African title. Next on the winning streak was Namibia’s highly talented boxing prospect Jeremiah ‘No Respect’ Nakathila, who captured the coveted WBO Africa junior lightweight title by an overwhelming 8th round technical knockout over South African Jasper Seroka. Returning the compliment to his compatriots was Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo, who did it in astounding fashion when he demolished Tanzania’s Fabian Lyimo to retain his WBO Africa junior welterweight title just 2 minutes and 23 seconds into the opening round. Immanuel ‘Prince’ Naidjala, as expected, did what he does best - defeating Tanzanian Fadhili Majiha on points to keep the WBO intercontinental bantamweight title at home. Closing off the night’s proceedings was the veteran himself, Namibia’s former WBA world champion Paulus ‘The Hitman’ Moses, who was guided by his speed, experience and determination in delivering a boxing masterpiece that saw him trounce South African Thomson Mokwane on points to take the WBO Africa lightweight title. 2016-08-08Staff Report 2
