2008-07-07Staff Report 2 By Kuvee Kangueehi Windhoek The corruption case against a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Sackey Namugongo, was postponed to next February after the case unfolded for four days in the Katutura Regional Court. The matter has now been set for February 9 to 18 next year. Before magistrate Sarel Jacobs postponed the case, businessmen dressed in leather jackets and gold chains, one by one took the witness box to testify how they paid thousands of dollars to Namugongo in the hope of acquiring gambling licences. On Friday, Tiranus Tshihome, an employee of the Otjozondjupa Regional Council who owns a shebeen in Otjiwarongo, told the court how he was lured by a certain Lameck Indongo to meet Namugongo to obtain a gambling licence.
