Ndawana left for Nigeria to claim award
Windhoek Afro-Pop singer, Ndawana Ndume, who has been crowned the Best Upcoming Afro-Pop Singer by the African Upcoming Artists Music Award (AUAMA) has left for Nigeria to attend the awards ceremony tomorrow Saturday in Abuja. During the award ceremony, Ndawana is expected to share the stage with prominent African stars such as Diamond from Tanzania, Wiz Kid and Tiwa Savage from Nigeria respectively. As part of his winning, Ndawana have also been selected to collaborate on a song with other winners from different countries and categories, a special song for upcoming African artists.   He says it is a great honour winning an international award. His aim is to sing more quality songs that can compete at an international level like his winning single song, Ondjila Oile. He also aims to work with many Namibian artists whom he would like to see them winning International awards too. Ndawana believes that Namibia has talented artists urging all Namibians to support local music “If we can make it at home, we can make it anywhere”. His music video for the song Kandaha Kange, released last month, is currently enjoying massive airplays on local television stations as well as social networks.   Caption: Ndawana who left for Abuja, Nigeria, to claim his award as the African Upcoming Afro-Pop Singer gifted him by the African Upcoming Artists Music Award (AUAMA).Picture: Ndawana
