2006-04-07Staff Report 2 Abri Nel, Nedbank's Acting Executive: Corporate & Business Banking. He was born in southern Namibia - Mariental, in 1972 - but grew up in the Northern Cape region of SA in the Upington area. Abri completed a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) specializing in Money and Banking at the University of the Free State. He then worked for Sanlam in Cape Town for one year before establishing a career with Bank Windhoek for over seven years. Abri made a major career move to Nedbank in March last year and is now heading the Corporate & Business Banking Department in an acting capacity. His vision is to be a proud Namibian by adding value to our country through personal contributions to our economic and social environment. In his leisure time he enjoys playing the king's game of golf, challenging the likes of Pangwa and also motorcycling. Abri and his wife Sonja are married for just over six years. She is a beauty therapist by profession. They have a 20-month-old baby girl called Shani - and expect another addition, a boy, to the family this month. 2006-04-07Staff Report 2
