The recruitment process for the vacant Okahandja CEO position is at advanced stage, with interviews already concluded, mayor Natasha Brinkman has said. Brinkman said the panel members recommended that all five candidates interviewed undergo a psychometric test before making a final recommendation to the municipal management committee. “However, once the results for the psychometric test is made available the panel will be convened to make their recommendations and all the remaining processes are anticipated to be completed before the end of June 2021,” she said. Okahandja has been without a substantive CEO since the abrupt departure of former CEO Martha Mutilifa. Pesella Nuda has been acting CEO in the interim. Early last year then urban and rural development minister Peya Mushelenga suspended the entire council of Okahandja due to unending infighting among councillors.
