2015-05-07Staff Report 2 Dundee Precious Metals has donated N$20 000 in cash to be used for the procurement of blankets for children at the TOV orphanage in Tsumeb. The blankets will be distributed among 60 orphans and other vulnerable children. TOV is an orphanage that is located in the heart of Tsumeb and serves orphaned and vulnerable children from impoverished families. On behalf of Reverend Amadhila, TOV acting manager Paulina Ndjene thanked Dundee for turning TOV’s vision into reality. She expressed the hope the centre can one day be enlarged to accommodate the growing number of children from destitute families at the town. “Dundee, what you have done here is very good,” Ndjene said, and added: “I accept this gift with open hands on behalf of the community.” Isai Nekundi, the stakeholders and administration affairs manager of Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb, noted that the Dundee corporate value of “Community Investment” is continuously being addressed by management. “As a company doing business in Namibia we care about the quality of the communities in which we operate,” Nekundi said. “Our legacy will be to ensure we have helped residents make the community a better place than before we arrived on the scene.
