An 86-year-old pensioner was beaten to death at Kake village allegedly by a 38-year-old man  over claims he practised witchcraft. The incident occurred on  Saturday  afternoon at around 15h00. It is alleged the suspect accused the pensioner of bewitching him and while the two were arguing he took a wooden pestle and assaulted the victim on the head . The elderly man succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was identified by Detective Chief Inspector Ewald Kavara as Kangungu Ndara. The victim was a resident of Kake village in Kavango East Region. “The suspect who is still in police custody is the deceased’s nephew and the assault happened at home.
