Platinum Stars want Henrico Botes return ... Bloemfontein Celtic also interested
"Windhoek If reports in the South African media are anything to go by, then former Brave Warriors veteran striker, Henrico Botes, could soon be reunited with his former mentor Cavin Johnson at Platinum Stars following the Namibian’s exit from Bidvest Wits. The 36-year-old former Brave Warriors front man recently parted ways with Wits after his contract was not renewed. Botes spent the past two years with the Clever Boys, as Wits is affectionately known. Speaking to one of South Africa’s leading football magazines KickOff, Botes said: “Right now I am a free agent and there is interest from clubs that I am already in negotiations with. I still want to play in the PSL, and that is the reason why I am already in talks with the clubs interested. However, nothing is confirmed just as yet.” However, Soccerladuma - another respected South African football magazine - yesterday reported that Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson is eager to bring Botes back to Stars for the 2016/17 season. The Namibian worked under Johnson at Stars during the 2012/13 season and now the South African gaffer again looks to reunite with the man that helped him lead Stars to second place during that campaign. At Platinum Stars, Botes spent seven years from 2007 to 2014 and scored more than 28 goals - in the process becoming the club’s all-time top goal scorer, overtaking Dingane Masanabo’s record of 27 goals. Another club also interested in the signature of the seasoned Namibian marksman is Bloemfontein Celtic, but serious news from that side is yet to be confirmed. - Additional news: www.soccerladuma.co.za/KickOff.com "
