Porsche Cayman goes ‘black’
Porsche finally expanded its Black Edition series of cars to include the Cayman.  The major difference over the base Cayman is the limited colour selection with this Cayman only available in gloss black, or with an option to upgrade to metallic black at an additional price. Aside from paint options buyers also get a sport-designed steering wheel and 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels, plus subtle options like aluminum side window trim. A black leather interior is the only available interior, and it comes with an upgraded sound system. The cabin is trimmed in black leather, and a host of creature comforts are offered as standard, including two-zone climate control, Porsche's navigation system and a premium sound system. The Black Edition, with all these goodies, is now available to order from a mere price of N$911,478 excluding options available. Under the hood, both the manual and the PDK boast a 2.7-liter flat-six engine that delivers 202 kW at 7,400 rpm. Top speed is at 266km/h for the manual and 264 km/h for the PDK. Also for those worried about scratching the paintwork, there is the reversing sensors front and rear to assist with parking, anti-dazzle mirrors and cruise control are all fitted as standard. As are rain sensors and Porsche's dynamic headlights that offer better illumination while not blinding the drivers of on-coming cars. By Staff Reporter
