Pupils appeal to leaders, media to end violence
2016-02-03Staff Report 2 Windhoek Recently 296 girls and boys in Okahandja and Otjiwarongo spent their afternoons figuring out how they can save lives. At the Katutura Youth Enterprise Centre (KAYEC) Youth Development centres, they joined their friends in a club called Brothers Rising for others, to learn about violence against women and girls, and what youths s can do to help stop it. The children also wrote letters to ask for change. Some gave ideas to President Geingob, others to the police or their municipal council. The initiative is supported by the Civil Society Foundation of Namibia who gave money from the European Union and the B2Gold Namibia. 2016-02-03Staff Report 2
