The University of Namibia will host Rehoboth and Kudus in respective Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) premier and reserve league semi-final clashes on Saturday. Unam II will face Kudus at 14h00 in the reserve league, while Unam I takes on Rehoboth at 15h45 in the premier league. Both matches are scheduled for their sports field.
Over in Pionierspark, Wanderers II will host Western Suburbs II at 15h00 in the reserve league, while Wanderers I will host Western Suburbs I at 16h45 in the premier league. Unam head coach Johan Diergaardt said these will be tough encounters, but is looking forward to see all teams put up great performances.
“The preparations were okay. The team is in good spirits; all players are ready to go out there and give it their all. Rehoboth is a good team, and I believe it will be a tough game for us. But at the same time, we are confident that our boys will make us proud,” he told New Era Sport.
“We should go out there on Saturday and show our rugby fans that we can win. I am sure our players will play to their full potential. We wish all the semi-finalists a great weekend with their games,” he added.
The finals are slated for 31 October 2021.
